Sunday was yet another stunning day of sunshine in Aberdeenshire (sorry, rest of the country, you seem to be soaking up our share of the rain!) and I went out on a photo-walk with a gorgeous family.
Let me tell you, I have a massive fan-girl crush on families with 3 and more children. I just think it’s such an achievement for those parents who survive ‘the magic number’ (and then some), manage to keep their sanity, juggle everything and raise such beautiful human beings.
So, have you guessed? This was a family of 3 young kids and 2 slightly older kids.
It was so fun hanging out with Emily, John, Isla, Sophie and Theo and exploring the wooded walk and then a little meadow at the end. I would be so confident as to say (I think) they had a ball too – I even got a smile out of Theo by the end of it (the littlest are usually most reluctant to warm up to the big black eye ‘blinking’ away at them, but, boy, did we get there in the end!).
Thanks for a wonderful afternoon, guys, hope you enjoyed your fish supper from Quayside of Gourdon after our adventures and can’t wait to share the rest of the images with you!
P.S. Beautiful spaces like this is why I absolutely thrive on working outdoors and have made a conscious decision to move away from shooting in a studio-like environment.
Nature’s backdrops are endless, ever-changing, ever-evolving and compliment family dynamics so perfectly.
